It is also continuously increasing its proprietary database of hundreds of thematic funds as the backbone of the forthcoming digital matchmaking platform.
Via its digital platform and proprietary database of public and private thematic funds, bettterfunds will enable those with investment needs to identify the funds they are eligible for.
Intermediaries and thematic funds will benefit from the platform which will feed them with a pipeline of pre-selected and prepared investment proposals and potentially investment-ready SMEs.
bettterfunds has begun to establish a proprietary database of hundreds of thematic funds - from agriculture over infrastructure to renewable energies and water funds, with countries from Argentina to Zimbabwe being eligible: the database standardises the publicly available information about thematic funds and ultimately provides it in order to matchmake the thematic funds’ criteria with investment proposals and funding requests.
A multitude of stakeholders is involved in the work in progress: thematic funds, fund managers, investment bankers, business associations, governments, support organisations, business leaders and many others.
As we move ahead by implementing our annual plan for the year 2026, bettterfunds will engage those stakeholders at different stages of its business model as well as its digital platform development.

There are many revenue models for digital platforms; the work in progress of developing the bettterfunds business model currently focusses on three primary revenue streams - a Freemium, combined with paid value-adding features; a One-Sided Model, and a white label solution for thematic funds.
We anticipate that generating a cashflow for bettterfunds will take a while; the final business model will incentivize many SMEs and other investees to collaborate with us in the medium, short and long term.
